Dear DUSA Members and Friends,

2024 Sino-German Controlling Forum is going to take place on June 14th in SUZHOU again! This is the 11th installment of the annual conference of Sino-German business community since its foundation in 2013.  Experts and professionals will come together to share their best practices and discuss cutting-edge topics in corporate financial management.

11th Sino-German Controlling Forum

"Winning in Markets"

After decades of strong growth, a three-year period of restrictions throughout the pandemic and with growing geopolitical competition among the regions of the world, business in China is now turning into a new phase of development.

In this new phase, many German and other multinational enterprises in China are facing a mixture of moderate market development, ongoing challenges in their supply chain, growing requirements on sustainability and increased competition by technologically advanced yet highly cost competitive domestic players.

With innovative solutions in the area of digitalisation, artificial intelligence and process efficiency, the finance and controlling teams are able to better mobilize enterprise resources and speed up the necessary transformation process to keep pace with the market challenges.

Under the lead theme of "Winning in Markets", the 11th annual Sino-German Controlling Forum 2024 will be an excellent platform for German and other multinational enterprises and their finance & controlling professionals to learn & exchange hands-on experience around market challenges, financial efficiency and procedural best practices in China.

We are looking forward to the sharing of practitioners from companies like Infineon, Kostal, Henkel, Schaeffler, BARC, Trip.com Group, etc. to report in various presentations and workshops about their journey in the areas of digital transformation, HR management, KPI design, ESG reporting, supply chain controlling, and generative AI application.

Welcome to join us for this flagship event in the Sino-German finance & controlling community!

About the Sino-German Controlling Forum

Excellent controlling capacities and qualified controlling personnel are key factors for a company's success, especially in China. While operations in China are becoming increasingly complex, and competition is intensifying, there is a shortage of qualified controllers as well as a lack of knowledge of professional controlling practices. The Sino-German Controlling Forum wants to raise the awareness for the role controlling plays in an organization and simulate the exchange of the latest controlling trends and approaches among the Sino-German business community.

The original idea for the Sino-German Controlling Forum was born in 2013 in dialogue between Dr. Zhen Huang, former managing partner of Shanghai De Chen Enterprise Management Consulting Co. Ltd., Mr. Bernd Pichler who was at that time senior executive at Shanghai Volkswagen, and Prof. Dr. Utz Schaeffer from the German Business School WHU Vallendar. They were activists of "Controlling in China", which was at that time an initiative with the objective to promote the dialog between German and Chinese business and finance professionals interested in modern, efficient management accounting and controlling practice.

The 1st forum was held in Shanghai in October 2013. It was co-organized by Shanghai De Chen Enterprise Management Consulting Co. Ltd., CA Controller Akademie from Germany, the International Association of Controllers (ICV), and the Shanghai National Accounting Institute.

Through the involvement of the German Chamber of Commerce in China Shanghai which has taken over the role of co-organizer since 2014, the Sino-German Controlling Forum has enhanced the industry focus and put a stronger emphasis on building a bridge between German and Chinese controlling practices.

From 2021 on, DUSA European Association Suzhou has taken over the role of co-organizer from German Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. It cooperates with Corporate Performance One, a management consulting and training company based in Munich/Germany, in providing the Forum as a leading annual event for finance and controlling professionals as well as non-finance senior executives and managers in Sino-German business community in East China.Type here the content of the page or click on some items in the Common Objects-section to add more images, titles and texts to your page
