We are delighted to invite you to attend the DUSA Online Training "Value Stream Mapping" on May 27, 2020.
The Training is in cooperation with Smart Manufacturing Application Sharing Forum.
Value Stream Mapping (VSM) is one of the most useful methods to realize Lean Manufacturing in a company. By systematically depicting production processes, business processes, as well as the material and information flow from the supplier to the customer, improvement potentials, especially in terms of inventory and throughput time, can be identified. By putting a particular focus on the information flow and visualizing lacks of transparency, media brakes or redundant data sources, additionally the foundation for establishing a Digital Transformation can be built.
This training will provide tools and procedures as well as practical examples on how to map a specific Value Stream. SME's will be enabled to do a simple VSM on their own, identify improvement potentials especially with regard to inventory and lead time and to start with their Digital Transformation based on the detailed look at the information flow.

Dr. Tobias Arndt
General Manager at GAMITobias Arndt completed his industrial engineering studies at RWTH Aachen University (Germany) with a diploma in 2012. During that time, he also received his Master of Science at the Tsinghua University in Beijing. He was working as a research associate and project manager at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) for more than four years. Dr. Arndt conducted several research and consulting projects with industry related to production, logistics, and supply chain optimization. In his PhD thesis, he focused on quality control strategies in global manufacturing networks. Since 2017, Dr. Arndt serves as the General Manager of GAMI, establishing fruitful Sino-German collaborations between industry and research in the field of smart manufacturing.
