DUSA DARE Event: "How to Choose Your Career Path?" was successfully held in SND on May 23rd. More than 20 members from DUSA member companies attended this event. Experienced professionals and young talents gathered together to have a sharing and discussion about the career development.

Mr. Oscar Wu, DUSA Board of Director, gave the welcome remarks at the beginning of the event. 

The event was anchored by Dr. Laurence Lau and Ms. Joanne Peng, from C_Life Lifelong Learning Community (Not-for-profit)

Mr. Kevin Wu, General Manager of Adcomm Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and Ms. Angela Pan, Training and Development Manager of CCL Design IDT. presented their understanding on the individual's selection of specific occupations and work settings. Kevin focused on how to transform the career path into the right job scenario. Angela introduced the methods to find the right career path by understanding the personality. 

Additionally, two young talents, Ms. Livia Zhang, Training Account Manager of Dale Carnegie, and Mr. Rocky Zhu, Finance Executive at TROX China, shared their stories and insights on finding a career path.

 After the sharing session, the attendees participated in a group discussion to exchange ideas, ask questions, and share their own experiences. The discussion was lively and engaging, and the attendees benefitted from the diverse perspectives and insights shared by their peers. At last, 4 questions are concluded. 

1. Boot-licking vs. firing the boss;
2. How you would like to be motivated;
3. Dealing with fear and risk management when moving forward (to make things happen) by trial and error;
4. What makes a good boss.

Four speakers discussed these four questions with participants. Then, the moderator, Joanne Peng worked out a mind map according to the discussion and share with all participants. 

The DUSA DARE event "How to Find Your Career Path?" was a success, providing a valuable platform for young talents to learn, network, and grow. The speakers' insights and the attendees' contributions made the event informative, engaging, and inspiring. Next Dare Event is scheduled in August, 2023. Look forward to meeting with more young talents from DUSA member companies at that time. 

DUSA DARE event is the quarterly event. It is a rostrum for young talents from DUSA member companies to explore the problems and confusion at workplace and share the career experience. It is also a platform for the professional experienced and young talents to know each other better.

DARE: Dusa Aspirants for Rising Eminence

Since we would like these talents (young or already somewhat experienced) to have the aspiration and courage (dare) to advance step-by-step in career. (therefore, rising eminence in respective areas/ competencies in line with whatever career goals they may have as an aspiration) .

Initiation:

Some day, post 90's and 00's generations will takeover the leadership. Can we proactively create a platform for these young talents within DUSA and let them have space to lead, manage, develop themselves with the help and guidance from us?
