Generative AI is a topic that has seen a great deal of attention due to the rapid rise of ChatGPT earlier this year.
At first glance, the potential applications seem limitless. There are first use cases in which a Generative AI tool automatically writes emails, creates business strategies, does live translations, writes programming code, generates images, analyzes data, etc. Often, it even feels magical when you use a new Generative AI-powered tool for the first time.
There are also early movers in the manufacturing sector who are already using this technology to make processes more efficient and employees more productive.
Alongside all these new achievements, however, problems with this new technology are quickly becoming apparent. There are problems with data and privacy protection, as well as the fact that some false statements are made up and presented as truth.
For many decision-makers in almost every industry, the question now is how relevant Generative AI will be to their business. If companies don't use it, they could fall behind the competition. If they do use it, there could be security risks.
In this event, in addition to an introduction to generative AI, we want to talk primarily about Generative AI use cases in manufacturing. We want to show how this novel technology can be used advantageously, safely, and in compliance with local regulations here in China.
We are delighted to invite Mr. Lukas Tatge, Co-Founder and CEO from LongAI to be the speaker. LongAI provides safe and compliant generative AI solutions for companies in various industries. The main product is the company's proprietary business intelligence and data analytics platform, which makes working with data as easy as talking to a friend.

Lukas Tatge
Co-Founder and CEO of LongAI
Luke Tatge is a German serial entrepreneur living in Shanghai. He is currently building and leading the Generative AI startup LongAI as a Co-Founder and CEO.
Previously, he has built AlterDataVision, an alternative data company for global and Chinese hedge funds, as well as a market intelligence and data analytics company called CIMK (China Investment Market Knowledge) for multinationals and SMEs in the Jiangsu Province.
Besides his own startups, he is also the China Director of the German Innovators in China (GINN) network and has been leading the Startup Grind Nanjing network for many years.
Before coming to China, he also worked for world-renowned companies KPMG and Bosch and the blockchain startup Chaindrium. He holds a Master's degree in Management from Nanjing University and a Master's degree in Global Business from Georg-August University in Göttingen, Germany.

CAREL has been operating in China since 2005, when its subsidiary "CAREL Electronic Suzhou" was founded. Today there are 350 employees working in the company.
In July 2019 CAREL Electronic moved into a new building of 15,000 square meters, three times larger than the previous location. In addition to a manufacturing area the new building has an 850m2 laboratory with specific area for new technologies and new refrigerants as CO2 and Propane R290, 200m2 of show room, 300m2 of technical department which is the 2nd biggest of the group and focused to design solution for China and rest of Asia.
CAREL has decided to build a new plant in Suzhou New District because it is the ideal place thanks to the consolidated infrastructures, the necessary technological facilities available on the territory and the already consolidated supply chain.
