This is the last call of DUSA Roundtable "Sustainability and Energy-Saving System" which will be held on April 22nd.
A large and growing number of manufacturers are realizing substantial financial and environmental benefits from sustainable business practices. Sustainable manufacturing is the creation of manufactured products through economically-sound processes that minimize negative environmental impacts while conserving energy and natural resources. Sustainable manufacturing also enhances employee, community and product safety.
Here are a number of reasons why companies are pursuing sustainability:

McGavigan Decorative Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., one of DUSA member companies, just moved to the new plant with well designed sustainable energy management system in September, 2020. Thanks to their hospitality for opening the new factory to us for this Roundtable event. Mr. Lifeng Wang, Managing Director of McGavigan China/Asia will share their story about the sustainability and show us the beautiful plant.
This is a hybrid event which will be held offline and offer online live broadcast at the same time.

Associate Professor of Practice at the International Business School Suzhou @ XJTLUDr. Ellen E. Touchstone is an Associate Professor of Practice at the International Business School Suzhou @ XJTLU who received her MBA in International Business from Thunderbird – School of Global Management and her PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Southern California. She serves as the IBSS Associate Dean for Responsible and Sustainable Business Education where she is leading their Carbon Neutral IBSS initiative as well as the integration of Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability (ERS) across the curriculum.. Her research interests include environmental issues such as sustainable tourism and the promotion of intangible cultural heritage, women’s attitudes towards and adoption of sustainable menstrual hygiene products, as well as social and economic justice related to gender parity. In addition, she is a thought leader in services marketing, in particular the linguistic servicescape to ensure inclusive financing, and the use of multilingual advertising. She has taught at the University of Southern California (USC), the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA), California State University-Long Beach, California State University-Los Angeles and Whittier College. She has also worked as a marketing practitioner for PeopleSoft, LingualCare, Target, Dillard’s and the US Department of Commerce.

McGavigan Suzhou is a wholly subsidiary of John McGavigan based in Glasgow, Scotland. The company established in 2011 at Wuzhong, Suzhou city.
McGavigan focuses on the decorative parts development, research and mass production the full module (including mechanical and electronics) for many different market segments. The automotive interiors are the major market at this moment.
The IML/IMD (in mold labeling, In Mold Decoration) are the specialty process developed by McGavigan back to 1980s time and now McGavigan Suzhou hold a leading position in China market.
McGavigan Suzhou have in-house manufacturer capability of injection molding, tooling manufacture and fabrication, painting, high pressure forming, trimming and assembly process. In 2020, Q4, McGavigan Suzhou just moved into the newly established modern plant with lots energy recycling features to support neutralize the carbon emission to the earth while also save the operation cost.
