This is the last call of DUSA May Roundtable on May 30.
Times are changing; digital applications become disruptive for everybody's life. Nevertheless, the basic human behavioural patterns seem always to be unchanged (Passion, Anger, Happiness, Frustration ...). We will discuss and analyse together if, and if yest what within our leadership style has be be adapted to this new constellation. Especially also what can be done to arrange/position/cope with all those modern "digital influences" within our working environment that continuously strives for "raising the bar"? Are this digital influencers beneficial for or are they threatening towards the motivation and performance level of a working team?
The May Roundtable will be combined with the May session of SEA Spring-Summer Seminars of IBSS, XJTLU.
Refreshments instead of dinner buffet will be provided. The event is free entry for DUSA Members and RMB 300 for Non-DUSA Member based on "first come, first served" principle and max. 2 registrations from one member company.

Prof. Carlo Altomonte
Professor of Economics of European Integration at Bocconi UniversityCarlo ALTOMONTE is Professor of Economics of European Integration at Bocconi University. He is the Director of the Globalization and Industry Dynamics unit at the Baffi-Carefin Centre for applied research on international markets, banking, finance and regulation and a Non-Resident Fellow at Bruegel; an EU thinks tank.
He has been visiting scholar at the Centre of Economic Performance of the London School of Economics and the Research Department of the European Central Bank, as well as visiting professor at the Paris School of Economics (Panthèon-Sorbonne, Paris, France) and KU Leuven (Belgium). He has also held short teaching courses at the Wagner School of Government (NYU, New York), Keio University (Tokyo), Fudan University and CEIBS (Shanghai) among others. He has been regularly acting as a consultant for several national and international institutions, including the Italian Government, the United Nations (UNCTAD), the European Parliament, the European Commission and the European Central Bank. His main areas of research and publication are international trade and investment, the political economy of globalisation and its implication on competitiveness. He has published in several leading academic journals, among which Journal of Industrial Economics, European Economic Review, Economic Policy, International Journal of Industrial Organization, Journal of Economic Geography, Journal of International Business Studies, Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics.

General Manager at SEALChristian Grosch has been the General Manager of SEAL since 2016, managing functions including Production, R&D Center, Sales (for own market brand “APT”) and Customer Service Center. His extensive management experience in technological and intellectual context was built from more than 15 years of professional experience in managerial roles and as a manufacturing expert. Before joining SEAL, he was General Manager of SSCL in Dalian, China. Previous to that, he was Consultant and Principal Expert for Lean, Manufacturing Technology and Factory Design, and coauthored the Siemens Performance System “SPS”. His earlier role was Head of Factory 2, SSMC, Mobile Networks in Shanghai, responsible for production, logistics, order-management and procurement. In addition to his substantial management experience, he is also the author of a patent on Intuitive Layout Planning with real 3D Objects. He obtained the degree in Radio Frequency Transmission and Communication Microelectronics from the University of Applied Sciences, Ulm of Germany.

If you register for an event but can't attend, please do let us know in advance. If you cancel 1 day before the event, there will be NO cancellation fee. DUSA will charge RMB150 for cancellation within 24 hours and no-show.
