Dear DUSA Members and Friends,

It is the last call of DUSA Roundtable "The present and future of remote work" on August 20th, 2020. We are delighted to invite you to attend this event.

Until recently, many companies did not believe employees can be effective if they would be effective working remotely. The Covid-19 out-break forced everyone to change the way we work. While working remotely has been practiced for many years, especially for sales and on-site technical support, the recent Covid-19 outbreak had drastically increased the number of people who need to work remotely away from the office.

These include:

  • Managers who are stranded overseas or are quarantined, and need to manage their staff remotely; and
  • Managers who need to adapt their managerial styles and procedures to manage and communicate with employees who need to work away from the office


Issues that managers need to address include:

  • Establishing common objectives so that everyone on the team can focus on key objectives;
  • Developing trust that things will be done in the right ways even when one or more parties are not working in the office;
  • Empowering others to plan their work schedules and make decisions in more autonomous ways;
  • Communicating and keeping team members engaged;
  • Mapping work procedures that enables transparency and visibility in remote management;
  • Ensuring the effective communication in and between the remote teams.


To address the above concerns, we are inviting 2 speakers to share their perspectives at DUSA August Roundtable.


This is a hybrid event which will be held at DUSA member company: "Manuli Suzhou" and offer online live broadcast on Zoom at the same time.

If you register for an event but can't attend, please do let us know in advance. If you cancel 1 day before the event, there will be NO cancellation fee. DUSA will charge 100% of the registration fee for cancellation within 24 hours.
