Cefla Finishing Equipment (Suzhou) Co., Ltd was founded officially in January 2007, the company's Business scope is mainly designing, developing, producing and assembling the automatic finishing equipment for the wood, glasses and plastic industries, selling the self-manufacturing products and offering technical and after-service support.


Our motivation to join DUSA is being kept updated with the market information, networking with peers and participating in the comprehensive events to enlarge our outlook on doing our business.

-2.5- Suzhou Faigle Engineering Plastics Co.,Ltd.

faigle is headquartered in Hard, Austria, and has three other locations in Europe and Asia. We have a long-standing reputation for quality and our reliable components – such as our rollers – keep people on the move all over the world.

faigle has been developing products made from thermoplastics for a wide variety of industries and applications for decades, and the elevator and escalator industry has been one of our particular focuses. The majority of the commercially available plastic rollers for this industry are based on faigle's developments and inventions.

Many of our major innovations have given rise to a wide variety of bespoke solutions for individual customers. Our family business has made a name for itself as a pioneer, trendsetter and technology leader.

UC Tools GmbH was set up in Karlsruhe, Germany in 2007 beginning with production and later extended in 2018.


In 2016, we established a subsidiary in SIP, Suzhou with Production of 750m². 

We design, manufacture and sell CNC Special tools for machine automotive parts or electronic devices such as PCD, Carbide tool, Ceramic, CBN.


UC Tools joined DUSA with the motivation of getting connected with other European companies, and to keep an eye on new policies while updating our perspective in different fields.

Interview of a DUSA Member GM

-4.1- Interviewee: Mr. Hans-Dieter Straub

VP Manufacturing Operations B. Braun Aesculap Division,

B. Braun Medical (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.

1. What is your role in the company?

Hans: As VP Manufacturing Operations of B. Braun Medical (Suzhou), I oversee the operative part of. B. Braun China medical device manufacture at Suzhou.

2. In your company's industry, what do you think is the biggest change in the past few years both domestic and international and what has your company done to deal with it? And what is your company's strategy based on such change?

Hans: The biggest challenge of the company is to deal with the rapid development in China's medical device industry, from all perspective, including rapidly rising market demands, new healthcare regulations, etc. Our strategy is to implement a "change" mindset, led by examples from the senior management level and adapting that on our day to day work life.

3. What originally brought you to Suzhou?

I was at the stage of exploring new job opportunity within B. Braun and the job offer from B. Braun China fitted my then aspirations.


4. What makes Suzhou a great place to work?

Suzhou's biggest advantage is its vicinity to Shanghai, which serves as international gateway to the world. This facilities my international travel. Suzhou also has a long history of culture and is one of the most scenic places in China. Further, the Suzhou Industrial Park is one of the most successful industrial parks in Asia. Suzhou government has done a fantastic job in improving the livelihood of the citizens such as the building subways, sports arenas and so on.

In short, Suzhou is not only a great place to work but also a great place to live.


5. What are some of the challenges being the Head of an International company in China?The Healthcare system has been under rapid regulatory change. The challenge is how fast our company can adapt to the rapid change both in and out of China. I would like to say that we have a very supportive management team and that makes things much easier.


6. What are you most proud of in your career?

During my assignment, we have managed to significantly grow the production in China, launch new product and services, improve the efficiency and profitability, as well as train and develop very talented team members. Many of them had experienced a fast career progression. 


7. What has been your biggest career lesson?

Do not hesitate to actively seek help when needed. This could save you a lot of time and reduce inefficiency.

8. What advice would you give to young managers in China who would like to work internationally?

Determine the factors that inspire you to work internationally, then follow your dream, your vision, and your goal.

9. How do you hope to see DUSA develop in the future?

Together define the strategic direction, of how and where DUSA will go in the coming decade.

10. What do you like to do with your free time?

I enjoy exercising, paddling dragon boat during the season, watching TV series and spending time with my lovely wife.


Special Questions Related to COVID-19 Outbreak

1. As B. Braun is in medical industry, what extra efforts B. Braun team has made to support the containing of COVID-19 Outbreak?

B. Braun China donated compact+ infusion pumps and CRRT blood purification machines, with a total value of 4 million yuan, to hospitals ICU's in Wuhan, for improving their patient's treatment.


2. Is there anything special you would like to say or to recommend, such as the impact or outlook on medical industry?

The coronavirus has impacted all the industries. Specifically people will be getting more health conscious, and that helps push the expectation of the related industry such as the medical industry. I am sure there are greater things yet to come.
