We are pleased to invite you to our April Roundtable on "Intellectual Property Rights for Manufacture Companies". This event aims to discuss the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) for manufacture companies in their operations and share the best practices about the IPRs protection.
Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) are legal rights that protect rightsholders against the unauthorized use of their creative works or inventions. They include patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
As a manufacture company, protecting your intellectual property is crucial to your success. It ensures that your products and innovations are protected from imitators, competitors, and other unauthorized individuals. IPRs also help to establish your brand and reputation, which is critical to building a strong business in today's competitive market.
We have three distinguished speakers lined up for the event. Mr. Raymond Kok and Ms. Yuemei Zhang, highly experienced lawyers from Shao He Law Firm who specialize in intellectual property law. They will provide practical tips on how to register and protect your IPRs. Mr. Florian Weihard, CTO of ruhlamat Automation Technology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. and Chairman of DUSA will share his experiences of effective IPR management system establishment.

His practice focuses on corporate, commercial and IP law. Raymond has extensive experience in various sectors with a particular focus on the automotive industries, the electronics / electrical engineering industry, the machinery and equipment industry, as well as the services industry.

Before that she ob-tained her bachelor‘s degree in engineering and in literature respectively from Donghua University. She passed the national judicial examination in 2013 and the patent attorney qualification examination in 2014. Before joining in 2018, she was with a well-known firm for three years and collected rich experience in patent application and response to office action, patent reexamination and invalidation, as well as patent litigation.
Since practicing as a professional lawyer in 2016, Zhang Yuemei has been focusing on the areas of intellectual property, anti-unfair competition, and real estate, construction and infrastructure, as well as cyber security and data protection. She provided clients with legal services in intellectual property licensing and transfer, review and negotiation of relevant legal documents in M&A projects. She also provided legal ser-vices for German companies in China for intellectual property application and maintenance. She supported a number of clients with review of general contract of Construction Projects, Design Contract for Construction Projects. Furthermore, she participated in a jetty infrastructure construction project of a multi-national energy giant in China and provided full legal services. She provided data compliance services to clients, e.g., security assessments for cross-border data transfers, personal information protection.
