What is Padel

Padel tennis is a racquet sport, derived from tennis, whose rules and playing style are basically the same as tennis. It is originated in 1969 in Mexico and created by a rich business man, Enrique Coruera and was brought to Spain in 1974 by his friend. After that in the next 25 years padel tennis rapidly extended all over the Spain. Specially since 2010 this sport has been constantly growing and blossoming all over the world, with over 20 million players worldwide. It is now for many people considered the fastest growing sport around the world. Without exception, padel tennis is getting more and more popular in China, especially in Shanghai where around 22 padel courts have been built.

板网球是由网球衍生出来的一种球拍类运动，其规则和打法基本与网球相同。板网球于1969起源于墨西哥，是由一个富商恩里克-科鲁埃拉开创并在1974年被他的朋友带去了西班牙。在接下来的25年中，板网球在全西班牙迅速扩展。尤其到了2010年，这项运动持续发展，在全世界范围内盛行，在全球拥有超过2000万玩家。如今，板式网球成为大家公认的全球范围内发展最快速的运动。毫无例外，板式网球在中国也是越来越受欢迎，尤其在上海过去几年内已建造了22块板式网球场。

It's a an extremely fun and social sport for players of all ages and skills, as it is both quick and easy to pick up. Most players get the basics within the first half an hour of playing. And Padel is not as dominated by strength, technique and serve as it happens in Tennis. An important skill is match-craft, as points are won rather by strategy than by sheer strength and power. Therefore, it's an ideal game for men, women and youth to compete together

padel rackets are made from composite materials with the perforated face of a pattern of holes. Since this sport has fairly small courts and to have better control over ball placement rather than hitting the ball hard, padel racket usually are short-handled bats.

Padel Go is the first padel center in Suzhou which was open last October. The view from the rooftop is awesome. There is also a relaxation area with drinks and food. Come and bring your friends to experience it!
