Siemens Electrical Apparatus Ltd., Suzhou (SEAL)


Siemens Electrical Apparatus Ltd., Suzhou (SEAL) was founded in 1994 as a joint venture. Since 2001 SEAL became a WOFE of Siemens. The registered capital is 306 million Yuan. In 2008, SEAL acquired Shanghai APT (Ergong) Co., Ltd. and founded SEAL Shanghai Branch and Tiantai Branch.


SEAL is located in Suzhou New District (SND), covering an area of 62,000sqm. There are more than 1000 employees working for SEAL. Its main products includes: contactors, overload relays, breakers, and push buttons, indicators, cam switch with APT brand.


SEAL have been implementing ISO9001 quality management system since early days to constantly improve the overall quality control. SEAL obtained TUV certificate of ISO9001 since 1998, and its product series have acquired the CE and CCC certificate since then. Also SEAL was certified by ISO 14001 Environmental Management System in 2003 and OHSAS18001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System in 2011.


In 2003 SEAL established R&D division dedicated to development of low-voltage electrical apparatus and components. In March 2008, the new R&D Centre building with the area of 10800sqm was completed.


As part of global strategy of Siemens, SEAL has been taking great efforts to drive digitalization and transformation. SEAL officially opened CCEAD (Competence Center for Electrification, Automation and Digitalization) in March 2018, and then MAC Digital Experience Center in September, which makes SEAL to have closer contact with the end customers, and have the chance to share the great experience and latest element of Siemens digitalization strategy with customers, partners, etc.
