The program contains a step-by-step approach by combining intercultural theory and practice to ensure a solid understanding of Western business culture and meanwhile enhance the cultural intelligence of participants. This program focuses issues facing participants and aims to solve cross-cultural communication and conflicts by applying methodologies such as case studies, cross-cultural game and role play to develop effective cross-cultural strategies.

Trainer Experience

Ms. Dong is a senior leadership and team effectiveness trainer with nearly 20 years of experience supporting Chinese managers in leading European and global teams. With a strong professional background in Europe, particularly Germany and close collaboration with Dutch and Northern European organizations, she brings a pragmatic, business-driven approach to international leadership development.


Her work focuses on enabling Chinese frontline and middle managers to lead European teams effectively, build trust across distance, and drive performance in matrix and virtual (Teams-based) environments. Rather than delivering standardized or theory-heavy programs, Ms. Dong specializes in highly customized, case-based leadership workshops built around real business and management challenges.


Ms. Dong began her career in Shanghai in 2004, supporting international assignees and global teams. In 2007, she relocated to

Germany, where she founded an intercultural and leadership consultancy and worked extensively with European companies. Since returning to China in 2013, she has supported Chinese management teams leading employees across cultures, including the Netherlands, Germany, and other EU markets.


She has designed and delivered leadership programs for multinational organizations in logistics, automotive, manufacturing,

pharmaceuticals, finance, and technology industries where operational excellence and people leadership are critical.


Her workshops typically address:

• Leading European employees with Chinese management styles

• Managing performance, accountability, and engagement

• Communication and decision-making expectations between Chinese and European teams

• Leading remote and hybrid teams


In addition, she advises leaders on inclusive leadership and unconscious bias to support respectful and effective team

collaboration.


Education

Ms. Dong studied Pedagogy and Sinology at the Quanzhou Normal University in Fujian and the East China Normal University in Shanghai. In Germany she completed courses in Cross-cultural Communication and Conflict Management at the Christian-Albrecht-University of Kiel.

Ms. Dong obtained her master's degree in Intercultural Management at Euro-FH University of Applied Sciences Hamburg.
