Following the Seventh Amendment of Individual Income Tax Law of the People's Republic of China (the new PRC IIT law) released on 31 August 2018, the State Council, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation issued a series of new PRC IIT laws and regulations including IIT Implementation Regulations, Interim Procedures and Operational Measures for Additional Itemized Deductions, Collection and Management Measures for Withholding and Payment, Measures for Withholding Filing and Management, Announcement on Relevant Questions for IIT Tax Filing and Announcement on Preferential IIT Treatment Following the New PRC IIT Law. The above tax laws and regulations will be effective on January 1, 2019.

The new IIT Law introduces major changes, including adjusting income categories, optimizing tax rates and tax ranges, increasing standard deductions, setting up 6 new additional itemized deductions, advanced tax withholding on monthly basis or upon the receipt of the income and annual assessment/filing based on the comprehensive income.


Speakers from Deloitte will explain to you regarding the above highlighted changes in details. And they will share their view and suggestions to the company and individuals to get prepared for the PRC IIT reform.


In addition, Deloitte tax team will also share recent major tax legislation changes with respect to China EIT, VAT, etc.
